One reason that I want to hide an app is to obviously make it not visible but if I download an application like, private me, etc,. That app is visible and can be opened to see the "hidden" app. IT sounds like it IS counterproductive. I guess you can change the name but it will still be visible if someone wants to open try to open it. It almost seems like it defeats its purpose. Please respond.
